Flawless & Poreless and Eye Bright Liner by Pixi

Pixi is a brand that I hadn’t heard of until I started blogging, and still until now after 6 months of blogging I hadn’t tried any of their products! Well silly me! I’ve started to find out what I’ve been missing by trying out two products* – Pixi Flawless & Poreless No.1 Translucent and Pixi Eye Bright Liner – No.1 Nude.

Pixi Flawless & Poreless No.1 Translucent is a primer that “smoothes out fine lines and hydrates to soften pore appearance. Creating a flawless canvas for make-up application, this primer contains nourishing ingredients that clear and unblock pores.”

I tried this for the first time during the heatwave and so this was a real test for the product. It went on smoothly giving a smooth semi-matte finish. It felt good but I was worried that the humidity and heat would mean that the product wouldn’t be able to sustain its claim that it would help make-up stay in place longer. I should have trusted. Despite several hours in a bar and then a restaurant, when I arrived home my make-up was still in place. Well done Pixi! It costs £24 here.

Pixi Eye Bright Liner – No.1 Nude is “designed for use on the lower inner rim of the eye to give eyes a wide-eyed effect. Enhancing the white of your eyes, this waterproof liner offers precise application. In a nude flesh toned colour to give the illusion of larger, brighter and awakened eyes. Perfect for days when your tired and lacking lustre.”

I’ve never tried a product like this before and it’s fair to say that I’ve never felt the need to either. Still, I’m not averse to trying new things. I love the look of the products such a cute colour and branding – they’ve given a real fresh look to my make-up bag. Anyway, back to the product, I applied the liner to my inner lower lash line and it gave a subtle lightening effect to my eyes. It didn’t make a huge difference but I’d say it enhanced the effect of my other eye products. It costs £12 here.

Is Pixi a brand you’ve tried before? I’d love to hear your comments and experiences below.
