Debenhams Beauty Club Awards 2014 – Beauty Club Event

I was very lucky to be invited to attend an event last night in Oxford Street which celebrated and introduced Debenhams Beauty Club Members and Telegraph readers to some of the Debenhams Beauty Club Award winners.

We were greeted by representatives of Viktor & Rolf who presented us (I went with my daughter Safi) with a goodie bag* each and a long stem pale pink rose.

We were served Rasberry Prosecco, formally welcomed, and then invited to watch demonstrations by Estee Lauder, Lancome, Urban Decay, YSL, and Balance Me. We learned about the companies and their products as well as some neat make-up tips and hints.

Then it was time for us to browse the beauty hall and I was treated to a delightful hand massage by Corben at the Tromborg counter. He told me all about the founders of the company and their ethos at the same time as demonstrating their delightfully scented products. He kindly gave me a sample of Tromborg aromatherapy deluxe hand cream.

Before I knew it, it was time for our session at the Dior Counter. We were booked in for 30 minutes with a make-up artist who used a selection of unique specialist products that they call Backstage Pros. The lovely Ana completed a look for me that I loved with the following products:

Airflash (Shade 201), Nude Concealer (Shade 002), Dior Blush (Shade 553), Newlook Mascara, Lip Maximizer, Dior Addict Lip Fluid (Shade 373) Lip Liner (Shade 463).

I wasn’t planning on any purchases but just couldn’t leave without the mascara and I’ve got a Dior wish list ready for payday! We were also presented with our second goodie bag* of the night – a gorgeous selection from Dior.

We made sure to capture our look by taking a selfie in the shoe department afterward because it had the best lighting!

Before we left we just had time for a quick chat with our host for the evening and were presented with gift bag number three from Debenhams!
