Empties – April 2018

I don’t really know why but I’ve been a little bit lazy about blogging recently – don’t get me wrong – I’ve been trialing all the best products, going to events and being sociable on-line but just haven’t been in the mood to sit down and write-up the posts. Might be because I spend way too much time at work staring at a screen. Still that shouldn’t take away from the fact that I’ve been using up some superb products recently. Let me tell you more…..

Bodycare:

From the gorgeous heritage brand I’ve been using this Woods of Windsor Bath & Shower Gel Collection £10.00.

The set contains moisturising bath and shower gels in True Rose, Blue Orchid & Water Lily and Pomegranate & Hibiscus all in a cute gift box. It was great to line them up in the shower and chose a different one each day. So pretty.

Hair:

The best hair care range I’ve come across in ages – American English Smooth Repair Shampoo & Conditioner £23/£25

American English shampoo and conditioner

I’ve reviewed the brand previously here. You’ll see that this is just part of the fabulous range of products. These two work great together but add in the 24 Karat Thickening Lotion and the Seaberry Dry Oil and you’ll see they’re perfection!

No photos of these next two as they were just day-to-day purchases that I made and didn’t think of including on the blog but think they’re worth mentioning. Batiste Dry Shampoo in Blush it’s just £2.99 and has such a lovely summery fragrance.

And then John Frieda Frizz Ease Smooth Start Shampoo £7.99 I found a salon size bottle in TK Maxx for about £3 but if you’re not that lucky it’s still worth the £s for this smoothing formula that contains olive oil and a frizz mending complex that light weight.

Pureology Hydrate shampoo £12.35 (250ml) I trialled a travel size.

Hair Heroes by FeelUnique

This was my first time using the Pureology brand. From the few uses I had from this small size bottle I found it to be better than average at hydration.

Style Freedom Hair Detox Part 2 Revitaliser £7.99

Hair Detox 1 Purifier

Really rated this product from Knight & Wilson. Sorry to see it’s no longer stocked in Superdrug for the moment at least – but do look out for it! I’ve reviewed it previously here.

Skincare:

Caudalie Beauty Elixir £32.00 This is the cult product that was inspired by Queen Isabelle of Hungary’s elixir of youth.

Caudalie Elixir

This is so uplifting and can be used for so many things including as a setting spray. Loved it – read my previous review here.

And there’s more from Caudalie – I’ve been using this Caudalie Resveratrol Lift Day Cream (travel size) from the Reserveratrol Lift Eye Set £36.00

Resveratrol Lift Face Lifting Soft Cream

The Face Lifting Soft Cream  is a light, nourishing cream that works to smooth and plump skin. I loved using it along with the other products from the set for a Caudalie boost.

This Cult 51 Night Cream £125  is the most luxurious and expensive night cream I’ve ever used.

Cult51 Night Cream

I’ve previously reviewed it here and have to say I’m missing this as part of my routine. It does also come in a smaller 20ml size if you feel like trialing it first.

Gatineau Defi Lift 3D Perfect Design £86.00 Another luxury high-end product this has a unique texture.

Beauty Expert & Gatineau

I’ve reviewed it previously here and would definitely recommend. It’s on offer at present here.

I’ve been trialing Advanced Acids from Strivectin and have come to the end of the Strivectin Advanced Acid – Hyaluronic £55.50.

Strivrctin Hyaluronic Acid

Acids are really at the top of everyone’s beauty needs list right now and I’ve been loving testing them out. Currently using the Oleic Acid from Strivectin and I’ve reviewed them previously here.

Primer:

And finally for my April 2018 empties comes this absolute gem from Touch In Sol it’s the Touch In SOL Toc Toc Toning Capsule Base £16.00.

Toc Toc toning primer

Not only have I been super impressed with the Touch In Sol brand as a whole but this is the product that really blew me away with its efficacy as a make-up base. Am now struggling to find a suitable replacement that can keep up. I’ve previously reviewed here.

I’ve already started to compile my May 2018 post with some great products included – I hope that you find these posts helpful in introducing you to new brands or reminding you of old favourites. Thanks for reading!
