#MYDREAMSUPERDRUG Event

Superdrug

Superdrug

Last night I was invited to one of the brightest most colourful and fun events that I’ve been to in a while the #MYDREAMSUPERDRUG Event. With balloons covering the ceiling giving a nod to the Covent Garden art installation and a cheeky santa and his companion in attendance there was a real upbeat feel to the evening.

B Makeovers

We were offered makeovers, hair styling and nail treatments to give us a taste of some of the new services that Superdrug plan to offer in selected stores soon as their response to what we asked for in our Dream Superdrug! They’re planning on offering brow and lash bars, blow dry bars, braid bars and a glitter lip service to keep us happy and all at low prices – brow shaping will be from £4 .

Glitter Lips One of my favourite parts of events is always the people and I got talking to the girls behind the brand Glitter Lips. They’re a clever and sassy pair of business women who have no shame in travelling down to London on the train with glittery lips at 8am in the morning. Their product is great fun and perfect for the party season. Glitter Lips will be launching in 14 Superdrug stores soon with an application costing just £3 redeemable against a £12.50 lipstick purchase.

Pix Lott Paint3

Another  new launch this autumn exclusively in Superdrug is Paint by Pixie Lott. This is a collection of nine products offering semi-permanent hair colour in the form of hair chalks, spray on and wash out colours.

Tanya Burr Advent Calendar

Zoella

On the celebrity theme but this time from our blogosphere we saw Christmas gifts and advent calendars from the likes of Tanya Burr and Zoella.

Makeup Revolution Advent Calendar2

Makeup Revolution Advent Calendar

Then we saw the Advent Calendar that everyone’s been talking about the ginormous offering from Makeup Revolution! 25 exclusive products each in its own drawer for £50. Amazing!

Freedom Pro Glow

Freedom Pro Lipsticks

Freedpm Lipglosses

Freedom Brow Pomade

Freedom strobing

As I said earlier one of the best parts of these events for me is the people and so I was really excited to meet the man behind the Makeup Revolution and Freedom brands – Adam Minto. He talked me through  a bit of his business background, the story behind the two brands and his mission to bring us affordable cosmetics that work. He showed me one amazing product after another and there was no way I could keep up with all of the facts and fun aspects of the huge library of colours, textures and products that are on offer. He’s really in touch with what we need as customers, his brands are reactive and he listens to what we say on social media and in stores. A fascinating personality behind brands that seem unstoppable.

In between hearing about all these new launches we were reminded about some of the hundreds of Superdrug own and exclusive brands that make up the diverse affordable offering across beauty, health and beyond.  I brought home a few of those to try – and no doubt you’ll be seeing reviews of some of them on this page soon.

Seems to me that Superdrug have been listening to what we want and are adapting along with our tastes and making the journey with us. Think it might be time for a Superdrug haul!

  1. Superdrug really seem to be improving their game but I’m still in love with my Boots card to think about shopping elsewhere!! ;/

    1. I love my boots card too and didn’t use to like super drug as there were always queues at the till. This last couple of years I’ve completely changed my view and rarely buy in Boots. Super drug seem to put their customer’s needs first.
