The Perfect Storm

Sleek Storm Palette

This is the Sleek Make Up i-Divine eye-shadow palette in Storm. I’ve been a fan of Sleek for a while, repeat buying the eyebrow styler and then being enabled by a fellow blogger to buy the Precious Metal Highlighting Palette when I really didn’t need another highlighter (must get that out again for the summer too!). But, oh dear I’ve gone off at a tangent again haven’t I? That’s what happens when you have a butterfly brain like mine and you can’t stop all kinds of thoughts flooding in and vying for attention to be externalised!

So, let’s take a look at this gorgeous palette shall we? The Storm version is the perfect go to for this transitional time of year I think. The top row are perfect summer day to night colours – some shimmer and some matte with the gold and rose gold colours that we can’t do without right now. And then the bottom (again mixed matted and shimmer) being moodier and stormy for a stronger smokey eyed look.

I do love the big professional palettes that offer every colour under the sun, but they’re really not practical for carrying around on a daily basis and I need palettes that are portable to take to work and to use to change up my day to night look. So that’s where palettes like this are so handy and the skill I think is the selection a range of colours that work together but also offer you a range of look all in one small parcel!

I’ve found the shadows really easy to work with, they blend easily and stay on pretty well, even when I forget to apply a primer first (like today).

Shades swatched from left to right are:

  • Sand Storm, Snow Storm, Calm Before The Storm, Thunder Storm, Perfect Storm, Fire Storm
  • Dust Storm, Gathering Storm, Storm Cloud, Electric Storm, Eye Of The Storm, Blackout.

This little beauty comes in at a really affordable £7.99 here and what’s more there a 3 for 2 offer on at the moment!

What’s in your Sleek Collection? Any favourites or something you can recommend?
