Those of you that have been following me for a while will know that I’m a great fan of Ultrasun and took it with me on my holiday to Marrakech last summer. You can read more about the products I took here.
But when I was asked recently if I wanted to try some new products from Ultrasun I was a bit – erm well it’s not sunny yet so not really! I was very gently reminded that you should protect yourself from the sun all year round, even on cloudy days in London. Still, I was thinking well, I’m sure most of my face products have SPF in them… but when I heard how special these products are I started to sit up and listen! They’re not just about preventing burning, they’re about anti-ageing and anti-pigmentation too.
Ultrasun Hand SPF30 Anti-pigmentation
What a brilliant concept, we’re always being told you can tell someone’s age by how their hands look. It’s a neglected area for most of and one that’s exposed to the sun constantly. This product offers high-level protection from both UVA and UVB rays with powerful anti-ageing and targeted ingredients. This is protection and a daily hand treatment in one. I’ve popped it into my handbag to use as my every day hand cream, that way I know my hands will be moisturised and protected too. Not only it does it promise that hands will be visibly brightened, reducing existing pigmentation in just 14 days. It’s water resistant and free from perfume, mineral oils, emulsifiers and silicones. It costs £18.00 for 75ml here.
It’s always great to have sun protection for the face that’s got a hint of colour especially when you’ve yet to tan and you don’t want to go totally bare faced. This one comes in a choice of two shades Ivory (fair/light) or Honey (medium/dark). It’s lightweight but offers very heavy duty UVA & UVB protection. It contains Ectoin, a rare natural enzyme that protects the skin from the effects of UVA induced damage and premature photo ageing. The key benefit with all Ultrasun protection is that it’s applied once-a-day. This is also an anti-ageing moisturiser that you can use in place of your normal day cream. It really couldn’t be any easier to protect yourself and look great too. It comes in an airless pump dispenset with a shelf life of two years after opening. It costs £28.00 for 50ml here
And now for the best bit. I’ve got a set of the Ultrasun Face and Hand to giveaway to one lucky reader!
