Balance Me BB Natural Perfection – Review

A while back I was invited to Debenhams Beauty Club Awards Event and that’s where I met the lovely people who set up the company called Balance Me. They told us a little about how they went from the kitchen table to becoming an international brand and their integrity and their love of natural products shone through.

They explained how it’s not an easy thing to do to find natural ingredients that provide an SPF but they have achieved that with an SPF25 in their Balance Me BB Natural Perfection.

They say the key benefits are:

“ Our BB cream is a hi-tech formula designed to create a naturally active daily skin perfector that leaves skin radiant and glowing, thanks to our sophisticated mineral-based tint. To support the structure of your skin and to smooth away signs of daily wear and tear, our SPF 25 BB cream contains an innovative natural titanium dioxide-based sun filter to block out both UVA and UVB rays. Our hand-picked ingredients were chosen to both enhance the activity of our sun filter and boost complexions. We’ve blended Abyssinian and rosehip oils with anti-oxidant rich, collagen and elastin-boosting blackberry leaf extract to help firm and smooth the surface of the skin; the purest grade of hyaluronic acid to help plump and bind in moisture; spruce knot, lotus flower and violet seed extracts to help calm any redness to give you a beautifully even skin tone.”

The BB cream has a slight colour to it and is a light texture that glides across the skin smoothly.

It has a satiny cover which reflects the light and gives what I would call a youthful finish. It has a bit of shine to it so I prefer to wear it at the weekend as part of a natural look with just mascara and a slick of lip gloss. Perfect for the summer.

I’d say that this one shade would suit a wide range of skin tones and you can see that it really reflects the light. With a really good SPF of 25 I feel protected without feeling that my pores are all clogged up.

I’ve been invited back to Debenhams in a couple of week’s time to try out some of Balance Me’s body care products and I just can’t wait!
