Review – Dermalogica Ultracalming Redness Relief Primer

PicMonkey Collage2

A few weeks back I told you about a great Dermalogica Event that I went to. One of the super items I picked up there was the newly launched Dermalogica UltraCalming Redness Relief Primer SPF20.

They say:

“Relieve irritation and redness caused by sensitive skin and rosacea with the Dermalogica UltraCalming Redness Relief Primer SPF20. Formulated with sunscreens, vitamin E and phytoactive anti-irritant agents, this moisturising primer will protect your skin against harmful UV rays and help to improve the condition of your skin. In addition, the natural earth minerals provide a subtle green tint to visibly counteract the redness of your skin.”

This product was really interesting for me. I don’t have rosacea as such but I often have a bit of a flush – you know the look, the one you get after a large glass of wine! This primer with its calming effect and its green tint it looked as though it might be what I needed. That together with SPF20 made me think that this could be the kind of product that I could wear daily.

I wasn’t really expecting the colour to be quite so green. I mean, I thought that it would look green in the tube but that it wouldn’t look green on the skin. It does, but this isn’t a bad thing as it balances out the redness. And of course it’s a great base and you can add foundation to achieve the colour and coverage you need. I found it cooling and calming and I definitely think it’s a class act!

You can buy it here and it’s currently on offer for £29.49 a saving of 23%!
