Launch – By Terry Light Expert Click Brush

By Terry 17

I’m going to have to admit that when I got my invitation to the launch of the By Terry Light Expert Click Brush at Space NK in the Kings Road I got a little bit over-excited!

The Kings Road in Chelsea is one of my favourite streets in London as it’s one of the first places I lived when I moved here (well just around the corner in Upper Cheyne Row). Space NK is just my favourite shop ever – there isn’t a single brand in the store that I don’t like. It’s simply the best beauty edit. And then the brand -By Terry – I just can’t even tell you how much I wanted to try absolutely anything and everything from this chic French brand. So, when I read the invite I nearly uttered one of those annoying blogger noises like “eep!” or “squee!” Does that sum up how excited I was?

So a gaggle of us beauty bloggers were invited to hear about the By Terry Light Expert Click Brush, how it was developed and how to use it by international make-up artist Alban Laloy.

We heard a little about the woman behind the brand and how Terry de Gunzberg was the woman who brought us Touche Eclat – now that’s something right? One is sold every 4 secs!

We heard a quote from Terry that sums up her purpose in bringing her products to the market:

“My expertise is a product of my experience. I now offer it to all women that, like me, want luxury as well as simplicity.”

As we all gathered around to listen, surrounded by oodles of other By Terry products that were just so hard to resist trying, holding, and lusting after we heard more about the Light Expert Click Brush.

It’s an illuminating flawless foundation brush for sculpting and smoothing. It gives buildable coverage and a natural finish. It really does give you that “your skin but so much better” look and that’s because it uses I.M.C technology – that’s Intensive Mimetic Camouflage.

You just need one click to dispense the correct amount of (what I would call foundation) but By Terry describes it as “correcting light prisms, camouflage micro pigments, and mineral powders, through the brush.

Oops! Got a little distracted there – just had to share the beauty of these gorgeous and sumptuous Terrybly Velvet Rouge lip colours.

Anyway back to the Light Expert Click Brush! So when you take off the lid you’ll see the newly designed kabuki brush from which 4 drops of the fluid emerge with one click – ready for you to buff it onto your face. You can use it as an all-over foundation; to touch up during the day; or as a highlight. It’s light and portable, there’s no mess and you can use it over any product and it works!

There are 6 shades to choose from and I was matched to No.5 Peach Beige and lucky enough to bring it home too. So this morning I just couldn’t wait to try out the Light Expert together with the Mascara Terrybly sample that was also in my goodie bag.

I was so impressed with the barely there coverage of the Light Expert that made my skin look flawless and feel like velvet. I did take it with me to work in case I needed to touch up but I really didn’t need to and it lasted well into the afternoon.

The Mascara Terrybly was perfect too and made my lashes look so long and separated I’m sold!

The By Terry Light Expert Click Brush, available from September in Space NK costs £48 and the Mascara Terrybly is available now and costs £33.50 in-store and online here.

This is such a special, luxurious brand that I just couldn’t stop looking at it. Here are a few more glimpses of the Terry de Gunzberg brilliance!
