Cheekathon on the Good Ship Benefit

Working in London means that what can be a dull day in Westminster can quickly turn into a sunny day messing about on the river. And when a top brand gets together with a top retailer for an event that introduces you to such a darling product then all the boxes are ticked!

The Venue

The Good Ship Benefit has opened up on the banks of the Thames, with all the best from Benefit and events, a bar and a restaurant. There are perfect views of the river and the London Eye – watch out for waves when the Thames Clipper goes past!

The event

House of Fraser and Benefit invited us to experience life on board the Good Ship Benefit as well as, and more importantly to check out the Benefit Cheekathon Palette. We were treated to a demonstration on how to apply the blushers, bronzers and highlighter as well as some other classic Benefit products. I was also lucky enough to have my brows done with Gimme Brow. Am I a convert? Definitely but I’ll tell you more in a separate review. Cocktails and sweet treats were the order of the day as we got our hands on the products and oohed and ahhed over them!

The product

Oh my goodness – I fell in love with this at first sight. It’s definitely one for collectors. It contains 5 full-size products Hoola and Dallas bronzers, Dandelion and Coralista blushers and the Rockateur highlighter all for £44.50 – that’s less than half the price of just two of the products separately. It’s fitted with a mirror and there’s a brush too that’s perfect for sculpting.

I found that it’s really easy to use, blends in perfectly and even with bronzer, blusher and highlighter on all at once – I didn’t feel overdone for a day at work. I can build it up for an evening look too.

I might have been slow to warm to Benefit, but I’m sure on fire about it now! I just can’t get enough of it!
