As the summer is ending it’s time to take stock of how your skin has stood up to the sun, rain, wind and everything in between that’s made up the British summer. I think that many of us will feel the need to feed it with moisture and build it up against the elements. I think that Dermalogica know that we need help as they’ve launched this Phyto Replenish Oil just a couple of days and ago here in the UK and globally!
They’ve taken key ingredients to produce this plant based restorative oil that can be used daily to deliver a healthy luminous glow. They include:
Camellia Japonica – to strengthen the skin barrier and provide wrinkle reducing benefits
Tamanu Oil – containing potent antioxidants to inhibit the breakdown of lipid-rich cell membranes from free radicals
Chia Seed Oil – to provide antioxidant protection and fatty acids to hydrate and soothe
Orchid Flower Extract – to repair, protect and lock in moisture and help to balance the skin’s natural moisture
Hyaluronic Acid – to hydrate and provide antioxidant and ant-irritant properties
Sunflower Seed Oil – a rich source of vitamin E providing antioxidant properties to preserve the skin’s protective barrier and defend against free radical damage.
Rice Bran Oil – rich in Vitamins B and E to moisturise, protect against UV rays and free radicals and help cellular circulation
Dermalogica suggest that you first cleanse the skin and then press in four to six drops of the Phyto Replenish Oil and then follow with your moisturiser – or if you prefer you can mix it in with your moisturiser, primer, or sun protection to leave your normal to dry skin with an all-day dewy look.
This oil is really light and just a few drops goes a really long way. It’s contained in a bottle that dispenses individual drops easily without a messy pipette system. I’ve been using it after cleansing and before moisturiser and then adding my normal base and it feels really good. I’m loving the dewy look – it’s not greasy at all – but gives a healthy luminosity that can be hard to achieve.
I’m feeling ready to face autumn with my Phyto Replenish Oil. It’s available here priced £62 for 30ml.
What do you use to prepare and protect your skin at this time of year?
