I know you’re all used to me writing about beauty products and over time people have been more accepting of someone like me being a beauty blogger but I think that we all know that I could never ever be a fashion blogger. Not the right age or shape and I definitely don’t have the right bank balance to be able to do fashion but you know it’s really nice to dip my toe in the water now and then when beauty and fashion worlds collide. That’s why I was so happy that during London Fashion Week I was invited to celebrate 90 years of Weleda Skin Food!
Fashion Students from Northampton University were invited to create fashion items that represented Weleda Skin Food. Awards were presented to the winners (who had created innovative fashion items including footwear) by fashion legend Caryn Franklin in the glamourous surroundings of One Belgravia.
But the star of the show , launched in 1926, was Weleda Superfood. The formula remains unchanged – it’s a nourishing cream that deeply moisturises to treat dry skin and it’s packed with plant extracts and essential oils.
It’s made with organic sunflower seed oil and extracts of wild pansy, chamomile, calendula and rosemary extract to moisturise, sooth and calm. It contains refreshing essential oils including sweet orange and lavandulae. It’s loved by make up artists, models and celebrities (think Victoria Beckham and Adele!) and is a fashion week staple.
Ingredients:Water (Aqua), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Lanolin, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Alcohol, Beeswax (Cera Flava), Glyceryl Linoleate, Hydrolyzed Beeswax, Fragrance (Parfum)*, Viola Tricolor Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Cholesterol, Limonene*, Linalool*, Geraniol*, Citral*, Coumarin*. * from natural essential oils.
It costs: £9.95 here.
