[AD – Gifted & Affiliate Links] Caudalie Resveratrol Lift

Caudalie

I started off my journey with Caudalie not so very long ago with the Vino Perfect Radiance Serum and next week I’ve been invited to an event at the Caudalie store in Covent Garden to get up close and personal with more of their range. In the meantime, I wanted to tell you about the Caudalie Resveratrol Lift that I’ve been trialling over the last couple of weeks.

It’s a really light textured day cream and a tiny bit goes a really long way. On my first try, I scooped out a big dollop with the spatula and wasted so much as I only needed about a pea size amount. So I’d say that this 50ml size (priced at £42) is going to last a good few months.

It feels so soft, the English description on the package (Face Lifting Soft Cream) doesn’t really describe it as well as the French (Creme Cachemire Redensifiante) – which my school girl French tells me means “redensifying cashmere cream” which I think better describes the soft to the touch feel that you get. And as we get older I think we can all do with maintaining the density of our skin too.

This is an anti-ageing cream and I have to say that I’m really not against ageing (and am a bit bored of the whole anti-ageing label) but I do like to take care of my skin and help it to look the best it can.

This cream actively nourishes with 93% of its ingredients being of natural origin ingredients. It contains stabilised Vine Resveratrol for firmness and micro hyaluronic acids for a plumping effect. It aims to smooth, recontour (yay! no painting stripes on the side of my face!) and re-densify in one step. It’s also got soft focus mattifying powders to blur and prime.

What I really like about this cream is that it’s truly a day cream and doesn’t slide off your face in a greasy mess when things get warm. So it’s great under whatever base you choose. I can’t say that my skin is visibly contoured but it does feel plumped and firmer to the touch. I think that this is the instant second skin effect that’s promised and the contouring effect might be something that comes over time and with continued use. Or I may have to give up the cakes for that to happen!

There are more products in the range including serum, eye lifting balm and night infusion cream. I’ll try to give more Caudalie products a look when I’ve got the experts on hand to advise me what’s best for my skin and hope to give you some insider knowledge in another post soon.
