Nail and Lip Picks for Halloween

I’ve been rummaging through my favourite lip and nail colours to try and find shades that I can wear to a Halloween party. On a daily basis, I tend to shy away from darker colours as they can be a bit harsh for my age and colouring but still I’ve found that I’ve got quite a wide range to choose from – ranging from reds to so dark they’re almost black to moody and mysterious mauves. So I started off by putting together a short list of five polishes:

China Glaze – Midtown Magic  dark brown base with red, gold & green shimmer £.3.95

OPI – Black Cherry Chutney  blackened red with a subtle shimmer £11.95

Vincent Longo Lip and Cheek Stain in Baby Boo rose pink (but it looks like blood in the tube which is why it made the first cut!) £18.50

W7 Fulltime Lip Colour – Angel Dust  deep plum £1.99

During the day I’ve matched up two lip colours and two nail colours as my final picks but I can’t decide which to wear – so it’ll just have to wait to the last minute on Thursday. My top two pairings are (on the left) Temptress and Private Members Club and (on the right) It’s a Statement and Victoria.
