Over the last couple of months, I’ve been trialling this recent addition to the Inner Senses range – the Reset Beauty Potentiating Facial Elixir.
Founded by Lisa Basso, an aromatherapy teacher and practitioner, the Inner Senses brand honours apothecary traditions. After training in the UK, Lisa moved to teach in Barbados, where she lived on a farm. This is where, whilst tending jasmine and aloe vera plants, she developed an understanding of ingredients and their provenance.
Inner Senses offers face and body oils that are hand blended, pure plant-based and natural. Free from parabens, synthetic colours, fragrances and preservatives Inner Senses products are made using pure, ethically sourced organic ingredients and are vegan and cruelty-free.
The Reset Beauty Potentiating Facial Elixir is formulated to support skin to fight the effects of pollutants and stress. This is something that I think about often, living and working in London and facing daily commutes as well as working in a sometimes stressful environment. Daily use is said to reveal a more radiant, firm and smooth complexion and who doesn’t want that!
Ingredients include:
- prickly pear, strawberry and moringa seed oils for their richness in antioxidants which increase skin’s resistance to physiological and environmental stress.
- schisandra fruit CO2 extract – a powerful adaptogen used in Chinese medicine for centuries that increases resistance to physiological and environmental stress.
- also – camellia seed, rosehip seed, cucumber, tomato seed, baobab seed, chia seed, and black cumin seed oils.
On initial application, the fragrance is predominantly herbal, however, as the elixir sinks in this fades and skin appears glowing and feels supple and smooth. With its target skin types being “stressed, unbalanced, tired, dull or lacklustre” (they do mean my skin type and not character don’t they?) this is the ideal cure-all for my skin, especially at this time of year. It’s available at www.innersenses.co.uk priced £52 for 30ml or there is a discovery sized 5ml for £10 which is perfect for travel too.
What do you think? Might this tick some boxes for you?
