It’s been a while since I posted. I keep thinking that I should write something meaningful. Or something to help people. Or to share how things are with me. And then I realise that I can’t think of anything that would be right. I mean, I find myself just wanting to be in denial and pretend like everything is like it’s always been. I don’t want my bubble burst every two minutes with messages from the government, or ways that I should be developing or coping. So I figured that just maybe there might be some of you that would like to read the same kind of thing I normally write. So here’s an empties post. Of course, I wish you all health and happiness – and I’m here to chat when you need me too. Just shout!
Body Care
Bilou Creamy Shower Foam in Pink Melon
Creamy and moisturising and only costing a few pounds. This Bilou Creamy Shower Foam in Pink Melon was originally available in Superdrug but I can’t find them available in the UK right now. 100% Vegan.
L’Erbolario Lemon Hand Cream
Love this brand so much. They have one UK branch in London’s Islington. I hear that branches are on most high streets in Italy – if that were the same in the UK I’d be in there all the time. (Lockdown excepted of course!)
This L’Erbolario Lemon Hand Cream is fresh and uplifting. It’s really hardworking too and sinks in fast leaving a barrier that protects against cold, wind water, and detergents. Ingredients include plant-based glycerine to soften and moisturise. The lemon works to lighten and reduce dark spots. I tried the 30ml travel size. but it comes in a full 75ml size too.
O’Keefe’s for Healthy Feet Foot Cream 85g
I’ve previously featured products from this hard-working down to earth brand here. All of them are effective and affordable. The O’Keefe’s for Healthy Feet Foot Cream is £8.49 for 85g.
The rich lather that you get from this Pure Anada Shower Gel Tahitian Gardenia softens and moisturises as it cleanses. As well as being gentle it has biodegradable surfactants that are derived from sugar and coconut oil. It also includes sunflower oil to seal in moisture. There are 7 fragrances including unscented. You can find Pure Anada Shower Gels here for £9.50 for the 300ml size.
Make Up
La Roche Posay Effaclar BB Blur Fair/Light
Specifically formulated for oily, blemish-prone skin that needs coverage. The cream-mousse formula of La Roche Posay Effaclar BB Blur controls sebum production, excess shine, and sweat. Contains blur technology and shade-adapting BB pigment which adapts to the colour of the skin on application to visibly blur the appearance of pores, fine lines, and redness for a matte, unified finish that lasts all day. This is my most repurchased product – the light shade suits me perfectly. Normally £17 Boots have it on offer currently for £12.75.
Revolution Conceal and Hydrate Foundation in Shade F4
This Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Foundation has a 50-shade range that’s infused with hyaluronic acid to hydrate. plump and smooth as well as giving a gorgeous glowy finish to the skin. I found my perfect match at the darker end of the light shades above right. It’s so unusual for me to use a foundation right to the end that hasn’t been colour matched in store. The coverage, look and feel was everything I wanted from a foundation and I’ve not been able to replicate it with any other brand – and it’s only £9!
Skincare
This is such a good all-rounder – it’s the Alpha H Absolute Eye Complex. It’s not heavy or greasy but manages to tighten, firm, and brighten all at the same time.
Ingredients include hibiscus flower extract, cucumber, olive leaf extract, niacinamide, matrixyl 6, sodium hyaluronate, bud of beech tree extract, and pomegranate. The hibiscus flower acids gently resurface the skin to minimise fine lines, cucumber extracts refresh and tighten and there are peptides in there to reduce sagging and puffiness.
Use morning and or night and you can always apply for a refresh during the day over makeup! £36.50 for 15ml
Bubu Skincare #feelingdirty Pollution Busting Sheet Mask
The unique hydrogel base is a thermo-sensitive water-soluble hydrogel that reacts to skin temperature to release key actives and maximises results.
You can find it alongside other masks from the range with similarly naughty names priced at £7 here.
Omorovicza Cleansing Foam 30ml
Straight after my second cleanse I like to use this Omorovicza Omoressence at what I’d call the toner stage. That is ahead of serum and moisturiser. It’s hydrating and balancing and prepares your skin for the next steps.
Ingredients include complex amino acids to retain moisture as well as healing minerals, natural moisturising actives, and polysaccharides to protect your skin from environmental stress and reduce inflammation and aid repair. Its patented Hydro Mineral Transference™ delivery system firms and re-densifies. It leaves the skin feeling calm and balanced.
A perfect partner for my other Omorovicza favourites it’s £65 100m l here. And there’s 10% off right now.
That’s it for today. Stay safe!
