You probably know that I’m a bit of a magpie when it comes to choosing beauty products and the first thing I’m attracted to is how they look – I like chic and luxurious packaging that’ll look great on the shelf or in my make-up bag.
So, you’ll understand my struggle when I was offered the chance to try the O’Keeffe’s range of skin solutions. They’re bold and bright, grabbing my attention to make me look for long enough to discover that what was being presented to me was a whole army of really effective products. I figured that if the products did what they promised they would my skin would be the thing that was attracting attention and not how my skin care is packaged.
I’ve been trialling, the products now for a couple of months and I can say I’ve been loving them so much that you’ll shortly be seeing some of them featuring in an empties post. Here are some more details about the products I tried.
O’Keefe’s Working Hands £8.49 (85g)
O’Keefe’s guarantee (literally – they will give you your money back) relief from extremely dry cracked hands. The formula is non-greasy and scent free and provides your hands with moisture and protection. My hands weren’t cracked but tended to be dry with the use of cleaning products and cold air. I keep this tube by the kitchen sink to help me to remember to treat my hands.
O’Keeffe’s Healthy Feet £8.49 (85g)
Again with the O’Keefe’s guarantee, this contains a high concentration of glycerin that draws in and retains moisture. Healthy Feet also contains Allantoin, a moisturising ingredient which helps to penetrate thicker and rougher skin on the feet. They say you can see a difference in a couple of days. I saw an immediate effect. This one sits by my bedside and I apply most nights. So comforting, I love it.
O’Keeffe’s Skin Repair £8.99 (190ml)
This one guarantees relief from extremely dry, itchy skin. It works instantly and moisturises and protects against dryness for 48 hours. It absorbs quickly and lasts through showering which helps to prevent future flare-ups. Now I don’t suffer with my skin in general so I can’t really vouch for how marvellous this might be for those of you that do. But I don’t see there’s anything to lose by trying it. It’s not overly expensive to begin with and then you can always get your money back.
O’Keeffe’s Lip Repair & Protect SPF £4.50 (4.2g)
This is one I’ve put by for the summer, so I can’t give you my views on this yet. Its formula promises that it heals, relieves and repairs extremely dry, cracked lips. It also protects against UVA and UVB Rays creating a flexible barrier and protects against dryness all day even when you eat and drink. You pop it on 15 minutes before sun exposure and reapply every couple of hours.
O’Keeffe’s lip repair cooling stick £4.25 (4.2g)
This is the lip repair I have been trying out. It’s so comforting in cold weather. It guarantees relief for extremely dry, cracked lips and protects against dryness all day. as it creates a moisture barrier. It provides immediate cooling relief while improving the look of your lips with a matt finish.
And that’s it! What a fabulously hardworking set of products. Have you tried any of these? Let me know what you think.
