No one can have failed to see and hear the hype about the new Benefit Gimme Brow brush on fibre gel. Benefit says that this innovative brush-on fiber gel adheres to skin and hair creating brows where before there were none.
As someone with sparse brows I watched the demonstrations on QVC several times to see if the product really delivered. It seemed to do the trick! At £14.00 plus P&P from QVC I was really tempted to call in and order one. I was just about to pick up the phone to dial when I remembered that the product I currently use does a great job too.
I’m currently using Soap & Glory’s Archery Brow Tint (Blonde) It costs around £9.49. It’s a brow tint and precision pencil. They say – use to brush on brows and fill in any gaps with this all-day, long wearing precision point stain then use the crayon to give your brows the perfect shape.
The packaging of products is always a big deal for me and I have to say I prefer something a little more luxurious to make me feel really good about buying a product but this product had the usual Soap & Glory retro style.
The product itself is easy to use although I had a little trouble with the cap on the crayon end which crushes the crayon end if you don’t wind it down.
On performance I do really like the tint. It goes on with a fine brush and is a really good colour for blondes. You can use it to tint your brow hair and it looks really natural. It lasts all day and doesn’t smudge. The crayon is a bit darker, perhaps a little darker than I’d like but helps to make a great filled in brow. As a double act I think they are hard to beat.
So what’s the verdict? I can’t promise that I won’t be tempted to buy Gimme Brow when I see it in store but for now I’m loving my Archery!
Do soap and glory do a brow product for brunettes? I am quite lucky in that I have naturally full brows but there are some gaps. Have never used a brow product before (except tweezers and the brow shaper lol) so a little nervous to try them xx
