Ten days ago I decided to take the Karin Herzog selfie challenge. I’d heard that this brand is loved by Amber Heard and the Duchess of Cambridge! So – I chose to trial the Karin Herzog Vita-A-Kombi 1 Day & Night Face Cream.
The rules of the challenge are that I had to take a no-make-up selfie; follow the product instructions; use only the Karin Herzog product for 10 days, take another no make-up selfie; then tweet what I think. Fortunately, publishing the no make-up selfies is optional so I’ll be keeping mine to myself! But to make up for the lack of photos in my tweet I thought that I would give a fuller impression of my experience.
I’ve already written a bit about Karin Herzog Vita-A-Kombi 1 Day & Night Face Cream and first impressions here. So what else to say? The instructions say that you shouldn’t rub in the product but just smooth it over the skin. This meant that the cream was still visible as a white layer but strangely enough when I touched it to try and rub it in – it just disappeared – must be the oxygen!
Over the 10 days I felt that my skin was feeling firmer and more taut. I couldn’t see any changes in my wrinkles and lines though but I was hopeful. Sadly, when I looked at my photo I couldn’t see any difference in these either. What I did notice though that my pores were clearer and that some of the pigmented spots (freckles? age spots?) were lighter. So a fresher look maybe how I’d describe it.
I don’t think that 10 days is long to test a product and potentially there could be further improvements with extended use. Additionally, I did take the pictures early in the morning so there were pillow creases to contend with! Always a challenge.
I”m pretty happy with the results I got. I’m not sure it’s my “ho;ly grail” product and but it’s a pretty good contender. I’ve really enjoyed the challenge – but now I’m off to delete those no make-up pictures before anyone else sees them.
Would you be brave enough to take the challenge?

Considering you did see an effect within 10 days makes that product sound quite good! I haven’t ever looked at Karin Herzog products but it sounds like something I should get my hands on. I’ve really gotten a little obsession with moisturisers right now – I have no clue why!

I hadn’t really thought about it like that! I think moisturisers are really important and always use one everyday. Have tried a few lesser known brands since I’ve been blogging though. Did you see I followed you on bloglovin x
