Review – DHC Face Wash Powder

150401 Wash Powder

Regular readers will know that I’m always excited to try new products from DHC. I’d heard about face wash powders but not come across one before. So, when it arrived, looking all retro, I wasn’t sure what to do with it. It has to be said that it takes a little bit of getting used to. You tip some powder into your hands and add water and it froths up into a great lather to wash your face with. It leaves your face feeling great too but I’m not really sold – there I’ve said it – it’s a DHC product that I’m not knocked out by. It think it’s because it’s a bit of a fiddle. I mean I prefer a product that you just have to pump out of a bottle or squeeze out of a tube.

They say:

DHC Face Wash Powder is a silky-soft powder facial cleanser that transforms with water into luxurious, dense lather. Sweep it across your face to cleanse away impurities. Exfoliating protease enzymes help dissolve the bonds of lifeless, dulling skin cells with ease, making this foaming cleanser gentle enough to use daily. Skin becomes soft with moisturising honey and sodium hyaluronate.

  • Generates voluminous micro-fine lather
  • Lavender soothes
  • Convenient for travel”

I’m glad I’ve tried it, (you can buy it here for £9.50 ) and I might even take it away with me on holiday but I think I’ll stick with my more traditional cleansers at home – like DHC Pore Face Wash (told you I love DHC!)

Do you like to try out new and unusual products? What’s the strangest one you have tried?

This product was gifted to me for review but the opinions are my own and not prescribed.
