Review – Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque

Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque (75ml): Image 01

It’s taken me a while to get around to trying out this Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque I picked it up at the beginning of May when I attended a Dermalogica and Sodastream eventTruth be told I’m a but rubbish at using treatments. I mean I’m really good at cleansing and moisturising and using sun protection as part of my daily routine but setting aside a time once or twice a week for a treatment is a bit of a stretch.

Today though things were a bit different as I seemed to have got all the chores out of the way for the weekend so sitting down to watch some classy telly (OK, that isn’t part of the “truth be told” concept – I watched the Only Way is Marbs!) I thought that it would be a good idea to rummage in my treatment drawer and spend some time beautifying myself.

They say:

“Restore critical moisture to stressed skin with Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque, a refreshing gel masque of calming botanicals and antioxidant vitamins. Suitable for all skin conditions, it contains no artificial fragrance or colour. Formulated with bitter orange and cucumber to help reduce inflammation, Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque restores suppleness while minimising the appearance of fine lines. Panthenol aids in skin repair and hydration and antioxidant vitamins C and E improve skin smoothness while helping to control free radical damage.”

The consistency of the masque is much more like a serum – well it’s a light clear gel that you smooth over your face and neck after cleansing. You only need to leave it on for about 10 minutes. After that you can just rinse it off with warm water or you can use a muslin or flannel.

So – I’m now watching the second episode (I know, I know but I told you I haven’t got much to do this evening!) and my skin is feeling great. I would say velvety soft, not at all greasy and definitely hydrated. So I suppose you could say it does what it says on the tin. Only don’t worry it’s in a 75ml tube that will give you quite a few uses.

If your skin is in need of hydration then I would suggest that you give this a try. You can buy it here and it’s on offer at the moment too!
