What nicer way can you think of to spend the evening than to spend an evening in gorgeous surroundings meeting fabulous new blogger friends over dinner and champagne? Oh yes -you can get the chance to try out classic fragrances and new launches at the same time!
On Wednesday evening I was invited to a summer dinner at the Dean Street Townhouse where we all got cosy in the Snug private dining area.
Some of my favourites were Jimmy Choo Illicit (pictured in the foreground left) This is yet to launch – it’s due out in August. It’s a gorgeous warm floral fragrance and the face of the perfume is set to be Sky Ferreira!
Another fragrance that I fell in love with and was lucky enough to get sample of is Alaia Paris by Azzedine Alaia. This is due to launch in Harrods on 1 July, London flagship stores from 2 August and nationwide from 17 August. It’s so worth waiting for though. The scent is inspired by an elegant, soft, sensual, floral suede. This Eau de Parfum opens with pink pepper notes, has a mid note of freesia and peony with a warm suede and musk base.
We were also able to sample gorgeous scents by Annick Goutal. One of these was this fabulous Eau D’Hadrien that I’ve been dying to sample for ages. I wore it today and felt so classy! It’s a refreshing citrus scent containing the acidic aromas of Sicilian lemon and grapefruit with the subtle notes of citron and cypress. This one is available now here.
Another classic scent was the dreamy Reve from Van Cleef & Arpels. It’s elegant and sensual featuring top notes of osmanthus lily, with neroli, juicy pear, sandalwood and white amber. I was really chuffed to bring a mini version home with a cute matching candle!
Among other treats i got to bring home were this mini size sweet sceented Boucheron Perfumed Body Lotion and this really fun Paul Smith key fob what a treat!
Such a lovely summer night with special summer scents!
