This week I was invited to find out more about two beauty brands that are all about beauty at home. The first of these is Fake Bake – everyone knows the name don’t they – they’re one of the best known names in fake tan. So I almost didn’t go to the event because I thought that it might involve me getting a spray tan! But no – what I was there to hear more about was the launch of Fake Bake Beauty at Home.
We heard about this new business and shopping concept that gives you the chance to become your own boss with no risk and at low-cost. As an at home consultant you can benefit from working flexible hours and earning commission offering fun way to shop for skin care, make-up, tanning and body products. There’s a registration fee of just £99 which includes a starter kit of products and there’s plenty of support including business tools, marketing materials, training, insurance, webshop, promotional campaigns, and host incentives.
But of course as you might have expected I was mainly there to get a close up view of the beauty products – though I didn’t just get to take a few snaps and stick my finger in the odd pot. I got a full demonstration and insight into how the products were developed from their creative director Craig Alexander-Wilson. He’s an engaging and warm Glaswegian with an absolute passion for making the products the best they can be.
He showed me products from three new collections. Dolce Dreams is a luxurious bath and body range scented to smell like desserts. From the Coconut Macaroon Body Scrub to the Lemon Meringue Body Whip they all smell good enough to eat and make you feel amazing.
The Skin D-Luxe skin care range uses the latest technology and cutting edge ingredients to achieve beautifully radiant skin. I’m really intrigued to try the No Needles fine line eraser that acts in a similar way to botox in that it relaxes the muscles to smooth away fine lines.
The third range is Scream & Pout make-up. This is a fun and colourful range that promises to be fun, fierce and fabulous. I’d say that those are three words that would describe Craig as he entertained us all and pouted for photos. A true professional!
I’ve brought home a few bits to try, (well more than a few to be fair) and I’ll be reviewing them in future posts to give you the low down on whether they live up to their promise. They are the Dolce Dreams – Coconut Body Scrub; Scream & Pout – Shine On Sunsational Colour Kit, Glo Gloss Lip Lacquer and Fake Me Up Mascara, and Skin D-Luxe – Prime Time Moisturiser and Dream Skin Moisturising Cleansing Melt. You can buy them all on-line here as well as finding out more about starting your own business.
I’ll be posting about the other fabulous brand eSalon soon as I want to make sure that you give it your full attention and don’t stop reading when you’re tired of scrolling!
Do you love a bit of Fake Bake?

These products were gifted to me for review. The opinions are my own and are not prescribed.
I went to this event too! I was also worried it was going to be about tanning so glad it wasn’t. Can’t wait to try out all the products x
