Head, shoulders, knees and toes? Discovering Skin Republic

I think that we’re all used to how well sheet masks work on our face as they really take the fuss, mess and guesswork of how to apply beauty serums to the face. But the difference I discovered here with Skin Republic is that they also make them for other parts of your body too! Maybe not quite head shoulder knees and toes but there are skin republic masks for Face, Under Eye, Neck & Decolletage, Hand & Nail and Foot!

Skin Republic is new to me. It’s a scientifically formulated, dermatologist tested hypo-allergenic range consisting of 14 products. They contain concentrated nutrient rich ingredients to nourish, rejuvenate and hydrate, are cruelty free and aren’t tested on animals.

I’ve been sent three of the products to try as you can see. So far I’ve tried the hand repair and foot repair and here’s how I got on.

HandRepair

So, this is such a great way to give your hands a treat! You get a pair of gloves, a bit like the ones you get with a home hair dye kit and they come lined with a serum soaked sheet mask type fabric. All you need to do is slip them on and wait 20 minutes. I know that’s quick but I’m quite impatient and wanted to tweet at the same time and guess what I could still do that while I was wearing them!

The Hand Repair treatment aims to give intense skin nutrition and to moisturise and soften. It’s enriched with collagen, shea butter, vitamin E and 7 plant extracts – olive, grapefruit, orange, apple, lemon and rosa centifolia.

I loved how it made my hands feel, the only temporary downside was that my hands were a little wrinkled immediately after use as if I’d been in the bath a little too long – but this wore off in a few minutes.

Foot Repair

Then I tried the Foot Repair. This treatment aims to soothes rough, dry feet and cracked heels. It’s rich in moisturising extracts – Gingko Biloba, Green Tea, Peppermint, Seaweed and Shea Butter as well as vitamin E, sweet almond seed, honey suckle flower, white peony root, sophora angustifolia root, baical skullcap root. and peach leaf.

The treatment came in a similar form except they were sock instead of gloves. Teoretically I could have walked around in them but to be honest it felt a little slippy, so I sat on the sofa and hoped that the postman wouldn’t ring the doorbell!

After 20 mins, I took them off. You’re advised not to remove the treatment afterwards but I did rub it in so that it as fully absorbed. This was a really intensely moisturising treatment and I’d say the best I’ve had for my feet. I think that this would really transform my feet if I were to use it on a regular basis.

CoQ10

As for the COQ10 face mask, I’ve yet to try it. The reason for this is that I’ve just had a facial treatment and I thought it would be a better test for the mask if I try it in a week or two. I’ll make sure to update you on how it goes. But here’s a few details in case you’re curious.

The COQ10 + CAVIAR mask provides skin nutrition, moisturises and repairs skin and provides vitamin and protein protection. It’s rich in vitamins, micro-elements and amino acids. Ingredients include caviar, CoQ10, vitamin E, and witch hazel.

I’ve loved discovering new products from Skin Republic. They’re available on line now at Graftons Beauty here and in Superdrug here from March.

Let me know if you’ve tried any!

  1. I’ve tried the foot peel and it is amazing, I use the foot repair as a top up in between! you should definitely try it if you think foot repair is good! I also love the brightening sheet mask too!
