Empties February 2016

With the first few days of March already gone and filled up with the day job and evening blogging events I’m struggling to keep up with everything I want to update you on. So somewhere between Emmerdale and the washing up I’m finding time to tell you about my February empties! Not too many products used up this month but there’s a favourite or two in here!

Weleda Almond Sensitive Skin Handcream

Weleda

Loved this little gem! I kept it in my bag and used it every day at work. It’s really comforting. I reviewed it here and it’s available here.

La Roche Posay Effaclar BB Blur

Effaclar BB cream 5

What can I say? This has proven to be the best base product ever! When I ran out I thought I’d just use up one or other of the drawer full of foundations in my bathroom but I missed it too much and in less than a week I repurchased. Here’s the full review.

Nuskin Renu Hair Mask

hair mask

This is a deep conditioning treatment that provides hydration by penetrating the hair shaft and tripling the strength of damaged hair. It features CS7, a cuticle-smoothing agent that acts as a glue to seal and strengthen each cuticle. This mask prevents split ends and breakage, making hair smooth, shiny and manageable. You can get hold of this rich nourishing mask here but it’s not cheap £31.91 but used once a week it’ll last a while.

Paul & Joe Luxurious Body Butter

body collection2

So, I feel as though this is a bit of a fail really. Not the product, which was so luxurious and everything you’d expect from the Paul & Joe brand but otherwise the whole exercise was a bit of a disaster! I went to a Paul & Joe blogger event. (you can read about that here). I saw all the lovely make-up but (and this is going to make me sound spoiled) I didn’t get any make-up in my goodie bag and I was a bit disappointed.

Inside though was my favourite ever Paul & Joe notebook and a lovely body care set. I gave the bath salts to my daughter as I only have a shower, then the shower gel to a friend who could do with a treat and so I only had the body butter left. Still, I loved every single slick of it until it ran out. And now I come to tell you about it – guess what, it’s not even available anymore! I’m guessing it was a seasonal thing. Still, if you want to explore other Paul& Joe products they’re available at ASOS here

Sexy Hair Sulfate-Free Bombshell Blonde Shampoo

SexyHair

I had a travel size of this Sexy Hair Sulphate Free Bombshell Blonde Shampoo and it came in handy as a standby for one of those days when you realise you’ve come to the end of your favourite brand. It’s a daily shampoo and it definitely left my hair looking bright and shiny. I can’t say what the long-term effect of using it would be as I only got a couple of washes from it.

The formula is enriched with chamomile for vibrancy and honey leaves for softness and hydration.  Gluten-free Protein Quinoa is there to repair damaged hair. This is a professional range so it comes in a big 1000ml size for £30.50 here.

Have you tried any of these products? Are any of them your favourites?
