Sometimes an invite to a product launch just saves your day. It was a Monday night invite to the launch of Max Factor’s newest lash innovation that saved me from a gloomy day at work turning into a gloomy evening.
I was invited to the ME Hotel on the Strand (must be a joke about Strand On Beauty on the Strand there but I’ll spare you!) for the launch of the new Max Factor Voluptuous False Lash Effect Mascara. Such an elegant venue and I always find it a struggle to know what to wear that’ll take me from the office to an event and I usually rely on make-up to make the difference.
There seems to be a new mascara out every two minutes these days and a fair few of them are from Max Factor too! So what’s different this time – well I had a great opportunity to find out by talking to the Procter & Gamble scientist that worked on the research and development and, you guessed it, it’s all about the brush:
- Helix shape enables 360 degree application wrapping each lash with formula
- Long bristles twist around the brush to remove excess formula for increased lash separation
- Wide fins grip and lift the lash loading on more formula
- Boost tip helps to coat more of the tiny lashes
I also had the chance to have the mascara applied by Caroline Barnes Max Factor’s make-up artist – but learned a valuable lesson and that is to make sure that before I allow photography I make sure to get some contouring done to disguise my flabby jawline – or to learn how to photo-shop!
I got some lovely Max Factor goodies to bring home with me and one or two of them were new to me so I’ll be telling you more about what I thought of those in a future post or an Insta”face of the day”. They are the Max Factor Masterpiece Shadow Palette in 03 Rose Nudes and the Max Factor Masterpiece High Precision Liquid Eye Liner in 01 Velvet Black.
Loving Max Factor these days they’re really upping their game recently. What do you think?
