It’s a celebratory Makeup Revolution haul!

Superdrug haul

I think it’s fair to say that people in London know how to party and this week Superdrug have been celebrating the opening of their new store in London’s East End. The Whitechapel store is now open for business!

So those lovely Superdrug folk didn’t want me to miss out on the party (as I live in South London) and they sent me across a party bag. (Ok it was a hamper – no in fact it was a crate!!) It contained Superdrug’s own brand products as well as brands that are exclusive to Superdrug and it was a great reminder of the huge range of products that they sell. I also hadn’t picked up on the fact that you can click and collect from them too and that’s so helpful when you’re short of time or you’re never in when the delivery man calls!

I was probably a bit late to the party with Makeup Revolution (I did make the 2nd Birthday Party though and you can read about that here) but I’m catching up fast! So it’s Makeup Revolution products that I’ve picked out for you from the hamper to share with you today.

Iconic Pro 14

I think the star of the show is the Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 1 shadow palette. Those of you who are make-up aficionados will know that this one is talked about as a dupe for the Lorac palette but I can’t confirm that.

What I can tell you is there are 16 shades with the top row being matte: Ghost, Luna, Must, Enigma, Drama, Afflicted and Pitch. The bottom row is shimmer: Need, Dawn, Getter, Breathe, Too Grey, Stage, Addicted and Player.

I’m a great fan of pinky nudes, especially for spring and summer and these shadows all have great pigmentation. The palette also contains a double-ended brush (and not an awful sponge applicator) as well as a great-sized mirror.

It’s a palette that’s just about portable provided your make-up bag isn’t too teeny and it’s available here for a super thrifty £6.99!

Iconic Pro Lipsticks

Then there are these two shiny black and rose gold bullets that contain the Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro Lipstick. That’s Looking Ahead on the left and Game of Mystery on the right. They’re both matte with intense pigmentation that’s not dry and feels comfortable on the lips.

The one blush stick

For cheeks I’ve got this gorgeous blush stick. It’s the Makeup Revolution The One Blush Stick in Matte Pink. I love it when a product is a multi-tasker and this one can be used on the cheeks or lips and dry for an intense colour or wet for a sheer look. This is a great spring-to-summer shade.

Blush Brush

And final pick from my bag/hamper/crate for this post is this “too good to use” Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt Blush Brush. This is my second gorgeous rose gold brush from this collection. Made with good quality synthetic hair this is a great shape for blush or contouring.

If you fancy getting in on the fun at the newly opened Whitechapel store, it’s at 75 Whitechapel Road, just around the corner from Brick Lane and near to Aldgate East tube station. For those based elsewhere then don’t forget you can buy online or click and collect.

I’ll be taking a look at some of my other Superdrug favourites in a future post. Do you have any Superdrug or Makeup Revolution favourites?
