Superdrug Haul!

haul

I’ve been itching to write this post about all the things I got from Superdrug last week but this week has been mega busy and I’ve had to put it off till now.

This month Superdrug is celebrating five years of its loyalty card scheme Health & Beauty Card and is offering customers its biggest ever package of benefits. These include over 5,000 products featuring a bonus points offer or better price just for members and members only offers until 30 May 2016 including free delivery on all Superdrug.com orders.

So I went on line to check out what was on offer. I don’t know about you but sometimes I forget how many amazing brands are available there and once I started exploring it took a while to make the final decision on what to buy. But eventually I settled on this gorgeous bundle to collect from my local store all for £40!

Makeup Revolution Fortune Favours The Brave Palette

fortunefavoursthe brave9

This is the palette that I first saw at the Make Up Revolution 2nd Birthday Party and have waited patiently for it until now. It’s the Makeup Revolution Eye Shadow Palette created and designed by British Beauty Blogger.

Shades are:

Top Row: Glimmer, Buffer, Peachy, Hope, Fortune, Transformer, Midnight Rainbow.

Second Row: Ice Cloud, Golden Coins, Cashmere, Tip Top, Yes Please, Green Machine Smoothie.

Third row: Caffeine Fix, Pink Diamond, Latte, Creme, Drama Queen, Lonely Planet, Blaqua.

B0ttom Row: Soft, New World, Favoure, Sunset Hour, Super Gold, Winning, Brave, The Revolution.

It contains thirty shades of matte, glimmer and sheen in a golden palette with a great mirror and a brush so that you can produce any eyeshadow look with just this product. And all this costs just £9.99 here

Apologies in advance for the flood of photos but I wanted you to see the beauty of the colour range and for that purpose they are shown larger than actual size. The individual shades are quite small but it means there is a whole lot of choice packed in.

Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipstick in Bliss

 makeuprevolution

When Adam Minto tells you that he makes makeup that’s inclusive and that no woman should be denied great beauty products just because of her income or lack of it you know he’s not lying when you see Makeup Revolution products like this one. This Amazing Lipstick in Bliss costs £1 – yes one pound! And yet this is the lipstick that I’ve been wearing everyday this week that has got me so many compliments what more can I say? Here’s where to find it.

Freedom Pro Brow Pommade Blonde

browpomade

I’ve been meaning to try the high end version of this product for sometime but my bank balance has been telling me no! This Freedom Pro Brow Pommade does the job for me without having to splurge and it’s just the right colour for me – not too light and not too red perfect. It’s £5 here.

Maybelline Color Show Color Drama Lip Pencil

maybelline

This is the second of three lip products I’ve chosen in my Superdrug haul so you’d be forgiven for thinking that maybe I don’t have many lipsticks. I have to confess that I have two Muji drawers full but there are always shades that are just a bit nicer than those you already have aren’t there? So I was looking for a lip pencil (this turned out to be a lip crayon really) to go with my nude lipsticks. I always mean to stick with twist up pencils but this one looked so nice I broke my rule. it looks gorgeous on but I don’t have a sharpener for this size of pencil. Any recommendations? The last one I bought split my Kevin Aucoin eye liner pencil so I’m a bit wary! Anyway I’ve gone of at a tangent – this Maybelline Color Show Color Drama Lip Pencil costs £4.99.

Models Own Colour Chrome Nail Polish in Rose

modelsown2

We all love a bit of rose gold don’t we – and I’ve been meaning to try one of these chrome polishes for ages so that’s the reason for my choosing this Models Own Colour Chrome Nail Polish in Rose. I also thought it would be a good match for the rose toned lip products I’d chosen and anyway i love me a bit of glamour! And it’s just £4.99 here.

Freedom Pro Highlight Ambient

highlighter

I’ve got a few highlighters that I love but they’re mostly in palettes and not too transportable. This Freedom Pro Highlight Ambient is a really universal shade that I can use for any make up look. It’s described as a soft pink but I’d say it has a kind of moonlight shimmer look on the skin. It’s a good size as well as being a bargain at only £3 here

No Superdrug haul would be complete without something from Sleek! This is the Sleek MakeUP Lip V.I.P in Back Stage. Although it’s probably hard to discern from comparing the shades in the photos this is a slightly deeper and brighter shade of nude/rose than my other two lip selections. VIP stands for very important pout and this lipstick takes care of your pout with vitamin E, shea butter and coconut oil. It’s a semi-matte formula which gives me the best of both worlds as it fits with the matte trend without giving my lips a dry ageing look. All this goodness in one lipstick comes in at £5.49 here!

L’Oreal Elvive Smooth Intense Shampoo & Conditioner and Clay-to-Spray Dry Shampoo

elvive

So this is where I remembered that maybe before I’ve finished spending I should buy a few practical products that I was running out of. I’m always on a constant search for products that stop my hair from frizzing and as a full time office worker who doesn’t always find the time to fit hair washing in between work and blogging you always need a dry shampoo to hand. I selected the L’Oreal Paris Elvive Smooth Intense Conditioner , the L’Oreal Paris Elvive Smooth Intense Shampoo  and the L’Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Clay Dry Shampoo all on offer at just £1.98 each.

So that’s me pretty much stocked up and I would urge you to make the most of this opportunity for special members only offers which are available for the whole of May. And if you’re not already a member then make sure you sign up!

Wow that was a mammoth post, thanks for sticking with it to the end! I’d love to get our comments in the usual way below.

  1. Love it, what a fab haul! I shall certainly get me one of the Freedom Brow Pomades’ and in the same colour as you have. Great post Hazel Xx

    1. I liked it because you can apply more or less depending on how dark you want it and it fills in the gaps quite well. I’ve also been using the Benefit Gimme Brow sample I have which is a great colour too.
