Pretty party picks that don’t cost the earth from Essence

This time of year brings a flurry of party invites and its always nice to have a cute new lip colour or blush to add a flash of colour and a new twist to your look. But Christmas can be expensive and that’s why it’s great to have a really accessible and affordable brand right on the high street that has such cute pieces! Yes, I’m talking about Essence at Wilko. You’ve probably seen some of my favourite pieces from Essence before here in my brand focus piece. Today I’ve got a few more indispensible goodies to show you!

First up is this Sheer & Shine lip colour in Shade 03 Be Happy. It’s a step away from the matt lip colours that I’ve been wearing through autumn but I’ve found it’s a perfect office to party lippy. It’s co-ordinates perfectly with red or pink shades for blush and nails. It feels really comfortable on the lips and has a sheen without being glossy. Gorgeous and just £2!

This gel polish is shade 10 True Love. It gives a great gel finish with no need for a lamp and its shine really does last and its £1.60 here!

This next product caused plenty of excitement when I first posted about it on Insta. It’s got the look of a product ten times as expensive and would be too pretty to use if it weren’t for the fact that it costs just £2.50! Yes really! It’s the Mosaic Blush in shade 40 The Berry Connection.

There are three shades of blush in one palette, perfectly matched to create an individual shade for a great party bright look.

I really do love my high end make up for how it looks but these products really make me think about the cost. I tend to mix and match these days – using some budget brands like Essence means that I can splurge now and then too!

To finish off the look mascara is a must have. This is  the I Heart Extreme Volume Mascara for a bold party look. This is actually the most expensive product on the page at £2.80!

So that’s it, just a quick post to make sure that you don’t miss out on the party fun for lack of a new make up look! Can you believe the total cost of the make up line up is less than £10! Amazing!

Do you have any Essence products in you make up collection? Do let me know what you think.

Happy partying!

  1. I love Essence! My favourite from the Sheer & Shine lipsticks is #13 Like A Princess and I also love their gel nail polish, they are amazing and have great colours!
