If you heard about the Nu Skin brand then you’ll probably know that it’s science-based and a class act. What you might not know is that they’ve brought all that expertise to their colour cosmetics range.
This is a makeup range that enhances your natural beauty so expect classic colours rather than stand-out brights.
What I really love about this range is that the packaging is stunning and as well as looking good it’s practical too. The Nu Colour Lightshine Eyebrow Shaping Kit has three blendable shades to fill in your eyebrows. This matt silver packaging also contains all the tools you need to shape your brows and apply the product. It’s great for on the go.
The Nu Colour Black Curling Mascara is one you’ve seen on my blog before here. I have to say that I’d forgotten how much I liked it and since laying my hands on it again I’ve stopped using all my other mascaras and am only using this. It has a lightly curled wand that helps to curl and define lashes. I’ve also been using Nina Westbury‘s tip of brushing through lashes at least 20 times with mascara to make sure the application is even and lashes aren’t clumped – so I’m getting great all-around results.
I have to admit I’m a little bit rubbish at using eyelash treatments regularly which is a shame because I could do with all the help I can get to get my lashes to flourish. The Nu Colour Nutriol Eyelash Treatment is a clear gel treatment that you can apply ahead of mascara to act as a primer or on its own – not really a chore. Must try harder!
I think that the Nu Colour Plumping Lip Balm is the stand-out product among those that I’ve featured today. It gives an instant plumping effect that you can feel working with a pleasant refreshing tingle. Menthol provides the cooling sensation and Ricinus Communis Seed Oil provides the moisturisation. The balm has a very slight tint too for a perfect pout for those no make-up days.
The Nu Colour Finishing Powder comes in one translucent shade that gives a matte finish to reduce shine. It’s really light and not at all cloggy (if that’s a word). As well as providing the finishing touches and setting your base you can apply it to lashes ahead of mascara for a longer fuller look or to lips ahead of lip liner and lipstick for increased staying power. It comes with an applicator pad but I prefer to use a brush.
Now I know that I’ve already said that the plumping lip balm is my favourite thing from this range but I have truly fallen in love with this Nu Colour Professional Makeup Set. Now I’ve gathered a fair few brushes in my time as a blogger but none of them has been so beautifully packaged or managed to gather exactly the right mix of brushes that I use on a daily basis. It’s great for travel but when I’m at home I stand it up open on my cabinet for easy access.
The brushes can also be bought separately but the kit contains:
- Eye blending brush
- Eye shadow brush
- Eyebrow brush
- Blush brush
- Foundation brush
- Powder brush
Have you tried any Nu Colour or Nu Skin products? What are your favourites?
