Reviews – SkinPep Day & Night Creams

About 10 days ago I got a really lovely delivery from SkinPep. They’re the nice people who agreed to collaborate with me on a giveaway. If you haven’t already entered then there is still time here.

As well as giving me the amasing giveaway prize they sent me some other goodies to try. I’ve been using the SkinPep Collagen Renew Day Cream every day and the SkinPep Collagen Renew Night Cream every night for the last 10 days. So it’s time to tell you what I think so far.

SkinPep® Collagen Renew – Peptide Repair Day Cream

Both of these creams are smartly packaged in a style that bridges the medical and the cosmetic worlds. The bottle is glass and substantial and so for me they look expensive enough for me to like how they look on my shelf as well as having a convincing scientific look. The SkinPep® Collagen Renew – Peptide Repair Day Cream is a light easily and quickly absorbed cream. It’s delightfully scented without being over powering. I know some people like to have fragrance free products but I’m not one of them and I like my products to smell sensual and luxurious.

They say:

It’s always hard to assess the effect that face creams have without photographic or even scientific evidence. But you do know how your skin feels and looks. Over the last few days I’ve felt good about mine. It looks fresher with a dewy look. It feels firmer and plumper and I like what I see in the mirror. And in my book, that ain’t bad!

SkinPep® Collagen Renew – Growth Factor Night Cream

This SkinPep® Collagen Renew – Growth Factor Night Cream is a pale yellow colour rather than the crisp white of the day cream. The scent is more “herby” and whilst it’s not unpleasant I prefer the scent of the day cream. The formula is richer but it quickly sinks in and so your skin isn’t left feeling greasy while you sleep.

They say:

“Our thick, super Hydrating, high quality, night cream is unlike other night creams. Loaded with skin conditioning agents, antioxidants and Growth factors, it silky refined texture allows max absorption of its key cell cummunicating ingredients. Supports collagen and elastin in skin cells to reduce fine lines & wrinkles while you sleep.

Padina Pavonica Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Collagen and Glycerine have been added for optimal collagen hydration. Shea Butter, Evening Primrose oil, and Jojoba oil minimise liquid evaporation to combat dryness and ensure excellent skin moisturisation.”

 It also contains:

Resveratrol, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Ascorbic Acid, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Niacinamide, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Avena Sativa (Oat), Kernel Ext, Red Ginseng Ext, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Ext, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Ext, Panthenol, (CO-Q10), Resveratrol, Japanese Algae Ext, Tocopheryl Acetate, Adenosine, Retinyl Palmitate, Ferulic Acid.

I felt that the cream had really been doing it’s work over night. It felt firmer and what I liked was that it didn’t feel greasy although it did feel incredibly soft. Obviously these creams are designed to complement each other and the effect I can see in the mirror was a result of both of these creams being used in tandem over a 10 day period.

How much do they cost? Well nothing good comes cheap does it? But what I love is that you can order samples to make sure that you like the product before you invest.
