I’ve never heard about the Rene Furterer brand before I was introduced to it by Escentual recently. You probably know that I’m always searching for the perfect hair care products but when Escentual told me that they wanted to show me some hair products from a French pharmacy brand then all the boxes were ticked! They told me that Renee Furterer is a brand popular in France and in the USA but isn’t so well known in the UK. So now we have our chance to find out more.
Renee Furterer is an expert hair care brand whose products are designed to enhance and reveal beautiful hair using essential oils and plant extracts.
I got the chance to try out three products from the new Lissea range which is designed to manage unruly hair – Lissea Thermal Protecting Smoothing Spray 150ml £18.00, Lissea Leave-In Smoothing Fluid 150ml £17.00, and Lissea Smoothing Conditioner 150ml £15.00.
Lissea Thermal Protecting Smoothing Spray 150ml £18.00
My hair is over treated and over-heated so this product is vital for me to stop my hair from getting further damaged. The Lissea Thermal Protection Smoothing Spray is designed to withstand heat up to 220°C for blow drying or straightening. It also has an anti-humidity effect to keep your hair sleek. It contains winter cherry extract and avocado oil to protect without weighing your hair down.
I used a small amount spritzed onto dry hair and then straightened it and it felt much less fly away with more body. I didn’t find that it gave a very intense shine though. I put that down to my hair needing an intense treatment to recover from damage though, rather than anything lacking in the product. This product also works for blow drying hair.
Lissea Leave-In Smoothing Fluid 150ml £17.00
This Lissea Leave-In Smoothing Fluid specifically for blow-drying. I’m not really sure how different it is from the thermal protection spray. They both smooth but I think perhaps the thermal spray stops damage from direct heat too.
This is designed to improve manageability and extend the length of your blow dry. It contains winter cherry extract and avocado oil to replenish the hair for shine and bounce.
I smoothed a couple of pumps of the fluid through towel-dried hair. I avoided the roots so that I didn’t make them too greasy. I also used an extra drop on the ends afterwards as suggested. It gave me a real weight to my hair that lasted all day.
The Rene Furterer Lissea Smoothing Conditioner is has a creamy texture that reduces frizz and adds weight to help calm down unruly hair. It has 100% natural active ingredients including winter cherry extract and avocado oil to replenish your hair.
I found that it had a great consistency and that you only need to leave it on for a couple of minutes to get a good conditioning effect. I let my hair dry naturally this weekend after using it to avoid some heat and found that it left my hair looking shiny with defined waves/curls. So I was really pleased with it.
