New Launch – Van Cleef & Arpels Féerie Rubis Eau de Parfum Spray

So whichever way you look at it, summer is done and it’s time to leave those cool fresh summer scents behind and seek out something warmer. This magical Van Cleef & Arpels Féerie Rubis Eau de Parfum Spray, is set to fill  that space in my perfume collection. (Yes, I mean that collection that’s outgrown the top of my chest of drawers and is making me think I’ll have to pack away my summer perfumes to make enough room!)

This fragrance is exquisitely presented in a stunning bottle that resonates with the world of fine jewelry which is at the heart of the brand. The top of the bottle is in the shape of the cutest fairy sitting atop a flower. I was in love with it even before I smelled the fragrance. I always find it hard to describe fragrances in words. They tell me that it has:

Top Notes: Red Currant, Raspberry, Lychee, Pink Pepper

Heart Notes: Peony, Magnolia, Freesia, Iris

Base Notes: Musk, Tonka Bean, Cedar, Sandalwood

I would say in layman’s terms that it’s fruity and rich and warm and definitely autumnal. If you’re starting to make a wish list for yourself or planning a Christmas present list I can’t think of any woman who would be disappointed with a gift so beautifully crafted and containing such precious “nectar”.
