Empties – April 2017

I really love doing these empties posts as it always feels good to have used products up and to be able to tell you about my full experience of using the product. Here’s what I’ve used up this month. Hope you find yourself a new favourite!

Free From Frizz hair products

Free From Frizz Shampoo & Conditioner

These are two of the products from the Free From Frizz Try Me Smoothie Kit. It’s always good to be able to try out a range before committing yourself to full sizes and this kit includes a mini shampoo, conditioner, spray and serum. They smelt great and worked great to give well conditioned hair with body and no flyaways.  I have used up the serum and spray though as I found that they didn’t add anything more to what the shampoo and conditioner had already delivered. The kit costs £4.99.

Sexy Hair Sulfate-Free Volumizing Shampoo

Another trial size this is another example of my being “prescribed” volumising shampoo. I’ve found that there are different types some of which make my hair big and fluffy which is so not what I want. Then there are the other kind which make your hair look thicker and glossy. This shampoo is the second kind. It hydrates as it cleanses without weighing it down too much. The 300ml size is currently £8.95.

Sexy Hair Colour Safe Strengthening Conditioner

This trial size is a strengthening hair conditioner. It claims to reconstruct hair from within. Not sure that’s true as it’s applied topically but it does deliver on its promise to make your hair soft, stronger and shinier. It adds moisture and a protective layer that suits damaged, sensitive, coloured and mature hair. My hair ticks all of those boxes! Ingredients include mango butter and aloe vera and 300ml costs £13.95 here.

Continuing my search for the perfect brow product. This is another twist up/retractable product which is always a plus for me. The colour was great for my fair brows (it comes in 4 shades and I chose blonde) and I love the shape of the pencil as it makes it easy to draw broad or narrow lines. I never use the spoolie though so I always feel that’s a waste. Still at just £7.99 here I feel it’s an affordable product from a brand I trust.

La Roche Posay Effaclar BB Blur

La Roche-Posay Effaclar BB Blur

I think that you might all be getting a little bit bored of seeing this on my empties list. I truly think that I’m addicted to this product. I keep trying to wean myself off it but it’s still my top base. Sadly this has been discontinued. I’ve reviewed it in full here.

Boots No 7 Serums

No 7 Restore & Renew Face & Neck Multi Action Serum

Last for this month – I’ve come to the end of the newly released Boots No 7 serum. It’s really been such a pleasure to use with a gorgeous fragrance and great firming results. It costs from £28 here and you can read my full review here.

Have a great month and I’ll catch you up on empties again in June.
