March Empties

First up is one from my favourite brands it’s Estee Lauder’s Resilience Lift Extreme Radiant Lifting Make-up in Ivory Beige. It has an SPF 15 and it works a treat. The colour match is perfect and my skin feels smooth and firm when I’m wearing it. Have just begun using a Clinique product and I’m wondering if it will match up. It costs £32 here.

L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Repair 10 SPF20 – They say “Multi Active Daily Moisturiser targets 10 signs of ageing. SPF 20/UVA protection. The luxurious formula leaves your skin feeling silky and smooth. Non greasy. It’s an excellent base for make-up”. I really can’t dispute any of these claims. This was sent to me to trial by a survey company a while back so I didn’t select it off the shelf myself. That said it’s a brand I trust and I’d be happy to buy it again. As above I’ve just begun using a Clinique product. It costs £14.99 here.

Sure Women Cotton Ultra Dry Anti-perspirant (compressed)

• 0% alcohol

I’m not a fan of compressed anti-perspirant. They say they are the same product but smaller. Well whatever it contains that allows it to be compressed makes the product different. If you breathe it in its much more potent and hangs in the air. Don’t get me wrong I’m a big Sure fan and it’s my go to brand – I just prefer the normal size cans. It costs £1.99 and if it’s your cup of tea you can buy it here.

Sanex Dermo Pro Hydrate cream bath This cream bath is for very dry skin. They say: “Sanex Dermo Active 3 Bath Complex actively works with your skin to offer 3 benefits to keep skin healthy: 1. Protection – Improves your skin’s natural protection barrier 2. Moisturisation – For soft and well moisturised skin 3. Rebalance – Restores skin’s natural balance” I found that it was great value for money and did exactly what it said. It costs £2.99 here.

Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara I had a sample size of this mascara as part of a give with purchase. They say: “Lashes seem to multiply, magnify, grow to extremes. Three different high-volume fibres create audacious, false-lash effects. Lash Advancing Vitamin Complex conditions. Lustrous colour leaves eyes looking brighter, wider, more seductive than ever. Oversized Brushcomber Extreme™ creates over-the-top lashes.” It really looked great making my miserably inadequate lashes look substantial. The down side was that it wasn’t smudge-proof and by lunch time I got the panda eyes effect. It costs £22.00 here.

Clairol Colour Seal Conditioner

I got this as part of my Clairol Nice and Easy Hair Colour kit but you can also buy it separately. It’s a really good product that leaves my hair feeling strong and looking healthy and shiny. They say : “ColourSeal Gloss is especially formulated to work in harmony with coloured hair and helps give long lasting colour. A specific formula for blondes for a hair shade as individual as you. It does this by delivering essential moisture to the hair shaft and helps boost protection where the hair may have become damaged through daily wear and tear i.e. blow drying, brushing, perming, etc. As a result, colour looks fresher and less faded throughout the six week cycle.” If this is up your street you can by it here for 99p.

Boots No.7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Lotion

I’ve really loved using this. I did my usual trick and made sure that I used a voucher to get money off and of course that always makes things feel good. They say: “Skin that suffers with some dryness will love No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Lotion. The lightweight formula is enriched with rosehip oil to hydrate just where it’s needed and leave skin refreshed and perfectly clean” It costs £9.50.Shop now here.

Umberto Giannini Curl Friends Smooth Curls Conditioner This is reviewed previously here. It’s a really average conditioner that’s no better or worse than most on the shelf.  They say:

“Umberto Giannini Curl Friends Conditioner contains a rich emulsion of waxes presented in a pearlised appearance that moisturises and hydrates hair for the glossiest frizz free curls and waves.” It costs £5.50. Shop now here.

Another product from the ARK Age Aware Skincare Range – Age Repair Supporting Moisturiser. A really great moisturiser which I’ve already reviewed here . This one costs £30.

Part of my Mother’s Day present was a sample of L’Occitane Creme Precieuse. Such a lovely rich cream from one of my favourite brands. I managed to squeeze two uses out of the sample. Luxury for a little while. They say:

Last item for this month was kindly sent to me by Argan Dew as a sample. It’s their Intensive Replenishing Hair Mask. It left my over processed hair feeling really strong and healthy after just one use. It made it shiny too except for the very dry ends which  I think may need a bit more work.
