Empties – February/March 2017

February was a funny old month and I hardly used up anything so I thought it was worth while waiting until the end of March to see if I could find a few more gems to write about in an empties post. Well it was definitely the right thing to do as March was a mega month for using stuff up. Here’s what’s been binned this month (only after I’ve used every drop and not because it didn’t come up to scratch!).

Roger & Gallet Le Soin Au Mirabilis Extra Fine Cleansing Mask

aquamirabilis20.jpg

This has been one of the best products I’ve found to remove make up, cleanse and leave my skin looking radiant – and it’s gentle too. So sad to get to the end of the tube and would definitely repurchase. Here‘s where you can read a more detailed review and learn more about the range.

L’Occitane 20% Shea Hand Cream

L'Occitane trial sizes (2)

Classic and always desirable this was a travel size version from my miniatures gift set. As you can tell from the name it’s got 20% concentration of shea butter  and added honey and sweet almond extracts blended with jasmine and ylang-ylang essences. Antioxidant Vitamin E is there too to ensure protection from free radicals.

Just the right size for your handbag and giving you everything you need from a hand cream you can try out this beauty for yourself from £7.20 here.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Riche

Aqualia Thermal Rich

Gorgeous, rich and effective cream without being heavy or greasy I knew that I’d love this  as it’s from the same range as my favourite ever serum. It’s currently on offer here with 1/3rd off! And here’s my full review.

Catwalk by Tigi Oatmeal & Honey Shampoo & Conditioner

wp-image-1542664099jpg.jpg

Designed for dry and damaged hair TIGI Catwalk Oatmeal & Honey collection worked for me with my greasy roots and dry ends combination. The formula contains a blend of acacia honey, wheat proteins and vitamin E and smells good too. My full review is here and you’ll find them here from £9.75.

DHC Beauty Lift Essence

Beauty Lift2

I often get confused with the term essence but basically it’s the same as a serum that is applied directly after your cleansing and toning stages of skin care. This one is gorgeous with a lifting effect that will have you feeling as happy as the little Japanese doll! My full review of the range is here and you can pick up the essence here for £38.50.

Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer

Urban Decay

This lash primer is one part of a trio of eye products that are perfect together. Subversion primes perfectly to give a full lashed look that’s so needed when you have tiny lashes like me. I’ve reviewed it here and it’s available here priced £16.50.

iMantara Peaceful Palms Hand Lotion

iMantara Hand Lotion

This travel size hand lotion has been such an uplifting addition to my handbag. iMantara is the signature brand of the luxurious Thai Square Spa and gives you just a taste of a spa experience in each product.

It hydrates and protects with ingredients like neroli water to refresh; mandarin oil to balance; honeysuckle extract  for anti-aging and natural UVA protection; and coconut, jojoba and sweet almond oils to provide the base. I had the travel size that’s just £3.95 here.

Seahorse Plankton Everlasting Radiance Cleansing Gel

Beauty Kitchen Seahorse Plankton

I was intrigued by the whole seahorse thing – I mean they’re a kind of magical creature aren’t they – somewhere along with the whole unicorn vibe aren’t they? Well maybe not but it was the seahorses that made the product range stand out from the rest. Loved the clean fresh smell and feel of this cleanser and it worked really well for me. You can find it here priced £14.99 along with other great products from Beauty Kitchen.

La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense Serum

La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense Serum

Easily absorbed long-lasting hydration is promised with this blend of La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water, Hyaluronic Acid fragments, Arginine and Serine in a serum. I@ve reviewed it here and it’s available priced £19.00 here.

Sexy Hair Colour Safe Strengthening Shampoo

I’ve been trying out a few travel sizes from Sexy Hair. This one was a strengthening shampoo designed to minimise breakages by up to 80%. Colour safe too, it cleans, moisturises and protects. Enriched with mango butter and aloe vera it’s suitable for any kind of damaged, sensitive, coloured or mature hair. I loved the smell and made my hair feel smooth and look shiny. It’s available in professional salons and you can find out more about the brand here.

Caudalie Premier Cru Eye Cream

Caudalie Premier Cru Eye CReam

And finally, on this long list of empties I had to say good bye to this superb eye cream from Caudalie. I really couldn’t fault it and would definitely repurchase. It’s not cheap but last for ever (well almost) so cost per use its minimal. Here’s my original review and if you want to give it a try you can find it here priced £49.

Well done if you’ve stuck with me right to the end of this post! I hope that you’ve found something that interests you that you’d like to try. Please do ask me any questions about any of the products and I’ll share my honest opinions as always.
